    Supply Question - Primers/Powder

For those of you that went through the last round. Were primers the only thing that got scarce, or was powder an issue as well? Wanting to get my supplies up. Not sure if to focus on buying primers, or if I need to get powder as well. If it makes any difference, I use Power Pistol. I am...

    Indoor Hearing Protection

I got mine at www.thegunsandgearstore.com for $199.99. The cheapest I found. Certainly more than the ones that I got at a local sporting goods store, but are much better quality. Glad for the tip. http://www.thegunsandgearstore.com/gold-series-electronic-muffs-black-p-26392.html

    Indoor Hearing Protection

Need to read that one some morning when I am fresh. Really good info, just too brain dead to absorb it tonight. Do have to say that I found some Pro Ears at a somewhat decent price. Used them at an outdoor class. They worked great. Could easily hear the instructor, but blocked what it...

    Indoor Hearing Protection

The ones I have are Peltor Shot Gunner and Silencio Falcon. If I double plug with Combat Arms Ear Plugs, I don't hear much of anything out of either... including range officers and other people. I have only had the one pair of electronic ones, so maybe I just don't understand the concept. I...

    Indoor Hearing Protection

If you could have any hearing protection out there, what would it be? I typically shoot indoor pistol. I have inexpensive sets now. One standard and one electronic. I don't like either one. I like the idea of electronic, but mine pop and still don't drowned out some of the cannons at the...

    Ammo Cans

Animator, which one(s) do you seem to find them the most? Don't really remember seeing many recently, but then again I wasn't really looking for them then.

    38spl Wadcutters

Wow, going through my closet, if found 38pl wadcutters back from the early 90s. Don't even remember buying them. Anyway, once I shoot them up, can I re-use the brass for fmj reloads? Didn't know if the brass was any different (longer, thinner, etc). Thanks!

    Tumbling .22lr for better feeding

I have a Sig 229 with a .22 conversion kit. It feeds mini-mags beautifully. I got a couple of boxes of the Federal 525 value packs. Almost every clip of 10 has 1 or 2 misfeeds. They seem a little gummy and I am wondering if this is the cause of the problem. Wondering if I throw them in the...

Shiny brass doesn't shoot better but......

I have the Tumbler's Model B and love it. I am doing some testing for a company that specializes in media (Yes it is a known company here on the board). In my testing, I have gotten down to only using a Nyquil cap of the compound (think it is 30ml), and about 20 ounces, or just a little...

    How to prevent brass discoloration

The Nu Finish works with wet rotary tumbling, not just the vibe w/ dry media?

    How to prevent brass discoloration

After tumbling brass, it looks so nice, great color and all. Just looked at some I tumbled about 4 months ago and it has changed color some and not quite as vibrant as it was. Is there anything you can do to prevent this? John Bradley Sanger, TX

How do you dry your brass

Leaving the brass out after taking it out of the rotary tumbler and rinsing it off, the get water spots really bad. Rolling them on paper towels works ok, bt not the inside. How do you dry your brass if you use a wet method of tumbling/cleaning? John Bradley Sanger, TX

    Rotary Tumbling

For those of you who use a rotary tumbler and stainless steel media, what do you add to the mix and what kind? i.e. water, burnishing compound, any other commercial products as well as any home brewed mixes. Thanks John
