Closing a cylinder with any more than a touch will, in my experience, get you chewed out. Not really debating what degree of force was used, but the word "slammed" inferred that it may not be all that necessary.

I hear it both ways...never really thought about the more specific connotation.
When I talk about an unintentional wreck, I usually just saw "went down" or "low sided/high sided."
I guess using lay down as a verb insinuates that it was your intent to low side out...

I bought one a few months ago...got the itch, and academy happened to have one for under $250 OTD.
Ive taken it to the range twice and put maybe 150 rounds through it...no malfunctions of any kind. Feels nice in my hand and the trigger is smooth, as you said. I'm not particularly accurate...
