I think that a feel check is BS if you cant see a hunk of brass in the chamber is there then you need to get off the firing line. This is also even more pointless on shotguns with an enormous ejection port.

The problem with a topper is that I still want to have a pickup truck otherwise I might aswell get a suburban. Also those things are way to expensive I wanna keep this under 200 if possible.

Remove the bolt and inspect it for a screw or pin and it will be self explaning at that point and welcome to THR :)
