I have not seen a traditional HP bullet for a 30-30 in awhile. Barnes had a copper solid HP, you may check that. They looked very gnarly. Don't know how they perform though.
As far as hunting goes, IMHO that a simple BDC reticle works well. I have used a Burris with the ballistic plex E1 reticle and also use a Boone and Crockett reticle. Now, for the long range guys, those super duper compensating reticles are justified. I don't know how to use one and agree that...
So I purchased a new to me Model 70 classic in 270win. Anyway, ordered some bases and rings for it (Leupold #50020 base). The front base screws seemed to have stopped and/or bottomed out before the base got tight. Rear is tight. Has anyone else ever had this problem before? Should I try some...
I bought 2 types of bag setups. One is the tack driver, it works pretty good with my ARs. I also bought the dead shot model, with front and rear rest bags. The problem with the dead shot rest seems like I am always adjusting after every shot, the rear bag needs to be adjusted constantly and the...

Anyway, I have never owned owned a magnum. The 6.8 has me intrigued. I like the concept. The real problem is I can find very few...
First off, I have noticed people getting more rude in their remarks to others. If we do this to new shooters, it may turn them off to the 2nd amendment community as well as shooting in general. Just my 2cents.
It is a little odd to think that a rifle or caliber is almost non-existent due to...
The new stuff, I can understand the higher prices. Material, manpower and supply chain issues have all contributed to the cost of new levers.
Older Marlins and Remlins? I don't know why they are so high in price. Used to be able to pick them up used for around 300-400 in decent condition. Now...
First off.. Wow. I always assumed things flowed better between the borders and less expensively. It never ceases to amaze me how chinese goods tend to pay alot less and get to market and we can even get goods from a neighbor without a stupid high markup with paperwork. But I digress.
Honestly...
