Potential Departure of AG Gonzalez ... What Is Impact on RKBA?

This whole thing is really a non-issue. Federal prosecutors are political appointees and serve at the pleasure of the President. They can be fired or replaced anytime the President wishes. Clinton replaced 93 federal prosecutors shortly after he took office.

Need action on concealed carry in National Parks

I just called. The lady that answered was very polite, but seemed very tired of answering the phone. The lady stated that there were about 500 calls already, so I thanked her for answering my call and then gave her a short concise comment. :D

    CCW in church

The wife & I carry at church. The Pastor welcomes it. We wouldn't attend a church that says no to concealed carry.

My Duty I believe it is my duty to protect the innocent, care for the weak, and leave the lazy to their own pathetic demise.

An idea that can make everyone safer; please hear me out!

Personal Responsibility There's no replacement for personal responsibility.:what: You can't legislate it, but you can practice it and teach it. No amount of legislation can take the place of personal responsibility.:banghead:

CCW Question on what to do

There’s a lot left to the imagination here… People can act very strangely after/in a high stress situation such as traffic accident.:what: I would retreat while talking to the guy and try to get him to help search for other accident victims, even if there aren’t any. Try to deflect his...

The UN is NOT going to take your Guns

"What was the ATF even doing in Katrina during cleanup? Auditing FFLs with scuba gear?" Initially, they were doing the same as everyone else, simply helping out where they could. They were part of the federal force that eventually established order in the city. Later, they visited all the...

Gun registration-what do you think of this?

It appears that the local patrolman has an amazing amount of information available to them. For example, last year a friend of mine got stopped for speeding on I-90 in northeast Wyoming. Via his computer or radio the Highway Patrolman knew that my friend had spent 22 years in the US Army. My...

The UN is NOT going to take your Guns

Gun Confiscation I came very close to facing the evil beast of gun confiscation last year during the Katrina aftermath. On day eight, I was supervising a crew installing additional backup power equipment in New Orleans East. We were all armed. One of our customer’s guys returned to our...

    Commercial Drivers and Personal Firearms

My Opinion This is my interpretation of the federal laws covering interstate transportation of firearms. I am not a lawyer and I did not stay in a Holiday Inn last night. The main problem with carrying a firearm while engaged in interstate trucking is that your particular firearm...

    Commercial Drivers and Personal Firearms

It has always been legal to carry a firearm in a Commercial Motor Vehicle, (CMV), as long as you are in complete compliance with the local/state laws where you happen to be. Being in compliance with the local/state laws may be rather difficult since many CMV’s travel far and wide. Many...

    SFO Airport Guardsman picture

Twice during my USAF career I politely and respectfully refused to carry a weapon without ammo. I was successful both times in changing the standing orders and getting ammo issued. Thankfully it was never needed, but we did have it in the weapons if it was. But, this was nearly thirty years...

    unmarked patrol cars

I have a personal rule. I don’t stop for unmarked police cars. Now, I’ve never had to test that rule of mine, and hopefully never will. However, if that day arrives, I will slow down, turn on my flashers and call 911 on the cell phone.

Where to find a pro gun attorney?

You might want to try Evan Nappen at http://evannappen.com/ I met Evan at the NRA Convention/meeting back in Kansas City a few years ago. He's out of NJ, but he might be able to help you. Good Luck!

    Waffle House

I try not to frequent Criminal Safety Zones, but, unfortunately, it is sometimes necessary. The important thing to remember when carrying a concealed weapon is to keep it concealed! Essentially, the only time anyone should know you’re carrying a concealed weapon is when they’ve crossed that...
