i have one with a 4 inch barrel it is mechanically like new but has little bluing left. it shoots very well but has a stiff double action trigger. the single action is light and crisp. i traded a baikal ij-70 mak for it.

well not completely true, if you do the ramp mod on the bolt, you can change mags with one hand AK style, especially if you use the tapco 20's. i had my sks bolt modded by one of the moderators on the sks forum site and boy its the cats pajamas..rifle locks back empty, rock in a new mag...

i had one in .45 it wouldn't feed anything my buddy now deceased and i tried no less than 12 different configurations to try and make it feed. tried converting grease mags tried different bullet weights and shapes. forget it.

not technically a bolt gun my best shots have come from a swiss k-31 good enough i put a steel st. marie no gunsmith mount and a fixed weaver 6x scope on it. the ammo isn't cheap but its all match grade GP-11 i can make 1 moa with the scope.

really like the amd-63 its an amd-65 with a regular stock, i been hunting one for a while. the regular ones are nice if they have the wood furniture. these guns were designed to be used with 20 rounders that why the 20 rounders are Hungarian. i think they are a neat AK variant...
