All I know is that Astra was a reputable manufacturer in Spain, and that its A-50 is a single action and looks like a Walther PPK. I have searched the web but, besides a brief description, I was not able to get information telling me how good or bad this pistol is.

I would like to know your opinion/experience with the Astra A-50 in .32 caliber.
Thanks
Ignacio

Astras are good quality, reliable weapons.
I currently have an A75L in 9mm and an older Astra Cub .22 short.
Both work fine. The A75 is made like a Sig, all metal, same size and weight as a Keltec P11
If you like the gun, and the price is OK, then buy it.

I had a Bersa, shot it once, did not like the trigger.
Wife did not like it either, so I sold it not long after buying it.
Different strokes for different folks

I've had a half dozen Astra 9MM's and .40s and all of them have been about as perfect as a pistol could be, zero problems. I have 3 right now, an A-100 and a A-75 in 9mm, and an A-75 in .40. I got them all cheap, and they are all keepers.

i have a special place for astras and stars

in my safe, as fast as i can.

now the .32 caliber for self-defense i am not too hot about.

but the brand i have no problem with, my first carry gun

was a star firestar in .40 my next was a star PD in .45

never failed me.

Older Astra pistols are exceedingly well made, with Old World standards. A-50 production was begun in 1960.

I used to have an Astra 600 that had some of the finest bluing, and fit and finish I've ever seen. (Until I put on some idiot marks the first time I disassembled and reassembled it - Ah, youth.)

As for the newest stuff, from ASTAR (Astra+Star), I can't speak from personal experience.
