I have the G42 and really like mine. I bought it to shoot in GSSF but admit I do carry it some. I use a handload of 3.0gr Titegroup with a 90gr plated bullet. No problem knocking plates over in GSSF.

Today I tried running some CCI small rifle primers with 38 special in my S&W 66. Had some light strikes and fail to fires. Never had that issue with their small pistol primers in the 66. And yes it does have lightened springs from Wilson. Rifle primers that much harder?

My Ruger SR45 handles 45 LSWC just fine. My XD45 won't, I gave up on it. As said earlier S&W 4506 will, I love mine. Early 1980's SA 1911 Govt model will. Never tried my G21, G30, G36, Para's or Hi Point 45. Guess I will have to try them to see.

Forget the XD45 service. You have to experiment around to get it to fire SWC's I've been told. I know, I have one of the first 1000 they made of them. Never could get it to run with SWC's. Only thing it ever gets fed is ball ammo, when I do unpack it out of the safe, been 5 years now since it...

BS. I have several G17's, 1 G34, 1 G19 and 1 G26. I shoot the 19 and 26 in GSSF indoor and outdoor. I use the G17 mags in each. Key factor is the mag retention/release, it is the same on all Glock 9mm models. Therefore as long as the mag will fit the grip length, you are good to go.

Congrats, you stole it. Looks just like mine, except mine has Tulsa Co Oklahoma Sheriff etching on it. I did put an adjustable sight on mine.

Talked to a Glock rep today at the NRA convention in Indy. He told me they are selling the G42's as fast as they can make them. So much for nobody wanting one.
