Not to my knowledge. They are excellent bullets though. I placed some of the first orders with him a year or two ago and never regretted it. Actually I have another order coming soon.

Either way they look and sound like a bargain. With the new coatings lead is looking like a good option to at least try. Casting is another avenue i've been thinking about lately and i figure i should at least try a commercial bullet first.

Thanks,
Dave

I've been shooting cast bullets since I started reloading almost forty years ago. I have to say that the coated bullets are a gigantic leap forward. They shoot cleaner with vastly reduced lead flashing on revolver cylinder faces, zero barrel leading, and no effect on accuracy.

I find them less of an advantage in autos, but in revolvers they are great. If you have a barrel leading problem in autos I'm sure these would solve your problem.

When I get around to it I'm going to load some 125gr LRN in .357 with some 296 and see if that will lead.

I've been using bullets from SnS Casting.

MBC sells coated bullets and offers THR members a 5% discount.

RMR sells plated bullets and they have worked well for me. They offer THR members a 5% discount as well.
Both companies are great to do business with.

The code are a the start of BDs PIF thread.

(Not implying there is anything wrong with Bayou, I have been happy with the Bayou bullets I have used.)

I've ordered almost 20k in the last year and I'm extremely happy with Bayous. Donnie is a great guy to deal with.

i just ordered 500 115g RN coated from Bayou to try in my 1911. I have about 80lb of range scrap lead and have been toying with the idea of casting and coating my own so i figured i would try some commercial quality stuff before i dive in.

Bullets arrived today. The shipping was super fast and the bullets look great, coating is perfect! Now the fun begins working up a load. I have Unique, Bullseye, N340 and HP-38. Bayou recommends using lead data...anyone care to share your loads?

Thanks,
Dave

did a quick work up yesterday with the Bayou's. Data came from Hodgdon..
4.9g CFE from a rest at 15yd. 4.9 was the starting load.
