Now this might be slightly off the .357 topic but I do remember reading an article sometime back about a military test using a small caliber rifle at very high velocity. In the test they had shot a mule and the closest thing they could describe to what happened was electrocution. I'm not sure...
I just recently picked up a .243 varmint sps and put it in a hs stock, it's proably a good bit cheaper then the vls. I haven't really shot it though so I can't give you my impression yet.
I've noticed that pmc flash holes do tend to not be in the center of the primer pocket. Realized this after a couple of rcbs decapping pins. However using Lee decaping rods I accidentally decapped a berdan primed 7.62x39 litterally blew a hole right through the center, my stupidity yes but the...
Has anyone ever tried one of these on a pistol? I have an encore I'm looking to put some sort of dot sight on. I called trijicon and they said it would hold up.
This is most definetly a problem, some I talk to go with extra high rings. On the 527 that I had an older model weaver scope with the tv screen eyepiece took care of the problem. I originally had a nikon buckmaster on their and the bolt did rub rather badly.
I may be acquiring an encore barrel chambered for this in the next couple days. Has anyone ever done any load work with this caliber or have a link to any load data. SSK faxed all the data they had to me and that was only four loads with a 165 grain bullet. Any help would be appreciated.
I have never once seen an AR at The Gun Shop in Front Royal. The guy that runs the place usually carries a good bit of higher end odd things and he imports alot of Martini .22s. If you need a Bush Master AR it would be alot easier to go into Winchester a pick one up at the many gun shops there.
At a shop i help out at the guy actually has a pneumatic press. I'll have to see if I can get pics of it one day. It works pretty well, it's mounted on an older rock chucker he's used it for years. However it didn't work with the piggyback attached to it.
Many are still missing the fact that when you look on the bottom of the scope it use to say Made in the USA. Why did they stop that can somebody shoot them an e-mail about that, this stopped around two years ago if i remember correctly from my source he did work with Leupolds every day.
