I am getting different webbing thickness across the different manufacturers.
And my brass prossesing is
1)decap resize
2)trim
3)chamfer
4)De-crimp
5)mark bottom of case
doing multiple headstamp swaging here.
I have noticed that some of the cases meet the bottom of the plate and some don't. I can adjust the ram and tighten the nut for each headstamp or I can remove the nut and just finger adjust it so that it bottoms out.
Also my eyes may be playing...
There is a EAA witness limited(full rail) that is tempting me at the local gun shop, used for $675 but I believe they would take $500 for it as it has been sitting there for almost a year.
Caliber is 38 super though and it only comes with one mag, I could get a 40sw and barrel for though.
So my local club's 3 gun that they put on about 5 times a year has two classes for pistols, open and limited. I currently have a CZ75 semi compact(compact slide full frame it was my first pistol) with 5 mags. I don't have a holster or mag pouches for it. I have aquired a fair amount of 40...
Been thinking about buying a conversion kit for my 550 as single stage loading can only go so fast. I have heard that you tend to loose accuracy with progressive reloading but this is relative term to me as one persons feeling on accuracy may be different from another.

When I first started loading I followed the instructions that said
"Adjust the die until it touches the shellplate, back off the ram and turn the die once more in."
When I did this with my once fired cases I would crush the should of the case and it would mushroom out. I solved this by...
This is something I am starting to get curious about. I have a 550b set up for large primer but I have considered the 223 conversion kit as I allready have the X-sizer die, lee seater and FCD.
I decap, then trim to 1.740, lube and off I go? I will probably do some on on my rock crusher...
Got my lead loads out this weekend with my missouri bullets and 5.7 grains of unique.
Any way to reduce smoke or do I just live with it ;) Is one powder less smoky then others?
I received the order today and I went to start loading them up. I have been using rainier 230 grain bullets before with an OAL of 1.267-1.270 and crimped at around 0.469.
These bullets would pass my lee 45acp go-no-go gauge
I then tried the softball 230 grain loads and my OAL was 1.267-1.270...
