    H&K USP comact .40

So, I've decided to get rid of all my pistols. I only want one pistol for self defense, is concealable, and has stopping power while retaining a larger ammo capacity. Since I'm rejoining the military (the Coast Guard this time) I don't want to constantly move x amount of pistols. The Coast...

Old H&R revolver restoration? Please help.

I don't have a serial number... the only thing I can read on it is on the bottom of the grip. N66- but then the other numbers are completely faded.. You said the 642 is chambered in .22WMR? Does it have a removeable cylinder and 9 shot capacity? I stil haven't been able to ID the exact model...

Old H&R revolver restoration? Please help.

Thanks ArchAngel... Also, no, this is not a top-break nor a swing out cylinder... the pin that holds the cylinder in place pulls completely out and the cylinder is removed completely from the gun. Strange, huh? The reason I think it's a .22 mag is that the cylinder is significantly...

Old H&R revolver restoration? Please help.

Hey gents. My father asked me to clean some of his revolvers and I noticed that one of them was an old H&R 9 shot .22LR. It's quite old and pitted and the accuracy is horrible. However, since it was my grandfather's pistol- I'd like to keep it for sentimental value and to plink with...

What's the holy grail of firearms?

For practical purposes and firepower, I'd say the WA2000 by Walther. It is a sniper rifle BUILT on the idea of being a sniper rifle FIRST and FOREMOST. It is seen in many movies. They run for roughly $75,000- but, I'd say it is a very prized peice.

Frangible 9mm +P for home defense?

Most people suggest a 12ga. shotgun (which I have) or a .45acp (which I also have) for home defense because .357mag, .38sp, and 9mm have "over penentration" What are your thoughts on 9mm+P frangible rounds? Are they good for "stopping power" without excessive penetration?

Tax Time = new gun time

Well, gents... I have you beat, unfortunately. I'm getting roughly $2,500 back. (In florida, college students can get their full tuition back for the first two years) Hopefully, my GI Bill for this month will be coming in at the same time. However, I'm giving $1,000 to my fiancee, saving...

    1900s .38sp

Gents, My 71 year old father was recollecting his grandfather's day of deterring looters in the late 1800's to early 1900's with a .38sp revolver. I believe he mentioned Smith and Wesson.. but it could've been Colt (he wasn't sure) Anyway, I was hoping to get him a .38sp revolver as a...

Anyone agree with "1 round at a time" range rules?

At least allow "double taps" At the range, you're supposed to train how you would shoot, correct? Granted, I'm not saying that someone should pound out a whole magazine in a few seconds- however, in a self-defense situation, a person would most likely fire a couple rounds into the BG as fast...

A true SEAL vet or a wannabe mall ninja?

"VeriSEAL" is a website to verify if some @#$%-talker is actually a SEAL? That's awesome. Can anyone give me a SEAL's code so I can see what it says? I'd love to verify the next guy who comes up with "tall tales." Since my contact who is Army Special Forces is part of JSOC, I'm sure I'll run...
