Hi All, Just purchased a GP 100 that only had 4 rounds fired through it. The couple could not remember how long they had it, thought maybe 24 years. The serial # is 171-035xx. Just curious if anyone has the means to tell me when it was built. By the way, it now has 204 rounds through it. Thank's.

I sent the gun to the Springfield custom shop. Since this a range gun & not a carry gun, they did a competition action job. trigger is set to 3 1/2lbs., over-travel stop, & short reset. It sure feels good, have not had a chance to go to the range yet. TK

Nagnaport SP101 I know that this is an old thread, but I recently got my101 back from Magnaport with new sights. All the other work was done by them years ago. I sure am shooting a lot better!

The rear sight is a set of S&W adjustables with a green c-more front sight. As I get older , it seems like my eyes don"t keep up!

Magnaport Ruger SP101 They do not have to poke holes in everything. I had them re-work my revolver and am completely satisfied with their work, you can get as good somewhere else, but not better!

I have my Ruger SP101 for many years, and love it. When I first got it, I had Magnaport do a complete action job, smooth the sharp edges, and install a gold bead front sight. While I shot the gun pretty well, I was never really satisfied with my performance, old eyes don't work the way they used...
