I've got a Glock 26 which is similar and a S&W 908. I find that the Glock stays in the safe and the 908 goes with me more often than not. I fnd it easier to conceal the 908 and can shove it in my coat pocket fully loaded. Something I wouldn't dream of doing with a Glock or M&P.

I carry them in my J frame. Great load. I find them fun to shoot.

Go with the .44 for the woods. The .45 1911 was never designed for this purpose.

You can't outrun a moose. Assuming you have no gun and the moose is charging get a large tree between you and the moose. You can get around the tree much faster than the moose can and it will not be able to get you. Eventually it will give up and go away.

They work as advertised. I own a couple and they will get the job done. No malfunctions and acceptable accuracy and trigger for self defense. I've got a couple of thousand rounds between the two with no issues.

Shooting a thousand steel jacketed bullets out of my sporter barrel doesn't sound like any kind of savings to me.
