I am with Mr. Smith, a 642 no lock is a very concealable option in hammerless. It is my go to carry piece in most applications.

I would suggest Galco Miami classic. It was designed around the 1911 and holster only components can be purchased separately for other handguns.

With a 642, sometimes with an uncle Mike's pocket holster, sometimes in a Galco ankle rig. It all depends on what activities I'm getting into.

Yup, I've got a win 94ae, this was the very first rifle I bought as soon as I was old enough to buy guns myself. Got it in 1989 at KMart, I remember it well had to put it on layaway couldn't put the $200 it cost together all at once.

I would recommend using a separate ductless a/c system within the vault so only a small penetration will be made. If you insist on using a ducted system have your contractor price out insulated steel ducts for all of your basement to eliminate the possibility of condensation on the ducts and...

Just a little off topic but, are these grips that much nicer than the hogue grips currently offered with the new revolvers? If so in what way are they better or should I say different?

+1 on the Rossi, I have the .357 version in stainless to accompany my 4 5/8 Ruger NV and GP100. I really like it and with a very few mods. It is a very nice shooter.

I have one in stainless as well, I carry it in a cross draw tanker type holster. It seems really well balanced to me, and it shoots well.

I carry 642 with no lock. I must say Tony those grips would be a most excellent addition to a satin finish, are they available from a retailer or did you make them?

I sure do likes me my 642 no lock, hammerless. I've found it wears great on the ankle in a Galco or in an uncle Mike's pocket holster. Great gun and I won't be caught without it, ever.
