I am using 23.5gr of AA2230 for these and it seems super accurate. Unbelievably clean burning as well, I have a pistol AR and after 70 rounds I honestly wouldn't have been able to tell the gun had been fired.
The max case length is 1.760 so you will need to trim. On my RBCS trim pro trimming a primed round is ok (though i would be extra careful and be damn sure you have the primer fully seated). As mentioned above just depends on your setup.
I noticed on some of my factory SS109 ammo the bullets appear to be crimped below/at the bottom of the cannelure. While RTFM-ing it appears the recommend seating close to the top of the cannelure ring. Once I apply a light roll crimp the cannelure ring disappears entirely - does this mean I'm...
Yeah I have several thanks. Just looking for advice working with a progressive loader since all my books use a single. I've been loading pistol for quite some time with no issues. Just trying to make sure I've got the rifle stuff down before I actually load anything. Sounds like the best way is...
Actually that may be it..The funnel is way too light to be steel. The dies are steel. Is there anything I can do to stop this?
Take a look:

No. On a dillon power die there is a metal powder funnel (comes with conversion kit) that goes inside of the power die to drop it accurately into the case.
So I pulled out my 45 acp power funnel after leading it in the die for about 6 months and I notice the outside of the funnel (part between the power die and the funnel) is all corroded. Is this to be expected? Is it ok to put a light coat of clp on the outside of the funnel next time? I did...
I decided I'd try some of each and then see if I can tell any difference. So that leads me to one more question. Assume I lube resize, trim, and tumble. Now do I have to lube them again the 2nd time I move them though the size/prime station or since they are already resized is everything going...
Ok..so then whats the point in having a case gauge if you already have a caliper? Sure it makes things ever so slightly easier for some people but why spend the $..
Ahh..Ok I'll have to double check. I think half my bullets are and half are not. Thanks for the tip. How exactly does case length affect the crimp die's ability to crimp? Seems like so long as there is enough brass in the neck it would crimp just fine..It could just end up too long.
That said...
Hmm..I have an RBCS trim pro with cham and debur head..Seems to fit just fine. I've done about 20 cases and then resized after. Everything seems just fine. As i said the post resize length comes out maybe +-.02 but since its ever so slightly above 1.751 each time I don't *think* (and correct me...
Ah I didn't explain all the way. So I know that would be ideal but since this is just plinking ammo in a non match sub 1moa etc etc gun I'm trying to avoid that. I have a dillon 550 so trimming after resize will add considerable time to my cycle (progressive press). I figure if i trim slightly...
