I just reamed a LPP pocket on a single piece of 10mm brass down to an LRP with a pocket reamer, I wanted to see if my Glocks striker would be potent enough to set off these CCI magnum LRP's and after loading the empty casing with just the primer and dropping it into the chamber it fired but I...
Unlikely to be corrosive considering the date of mfg and the country of origin, but I'll be thorough when cleaning after shooting with these. As for working up a load, AFAIK pressure signs are not a reliable indicator of excessive pressure in straight walled pistol cartridges. Could I load a few...
I have these LR primers pulled from some German dm28a2 7.62x51 blanks. Is there any way I can test them to see how they perform compared to standard LR primers that doesn't involve loading live rounds? How much difference can a primer make in chamber pressure, is it safe to just blindly use...
Would it be safe to shove as much pyrodex into a .500 S&W case as can physically fit in there, before shoving a bullet in an crimping it before the pressure shoves it back out again? I can't imagine any amount of the stuff that could fit in a .500 S&W case would ever cause pressures to spike...
I actually have a bag of the 22lr reloading compound, I haven't yet figured out the best way to reset the primer cups back to their unfired state yet, anyone got any ideas?
Yeah a .01" increase in COAL only increases the usable case capacity from 45.866 grains to 46.355 grains, so unless they were running really low pressures in the 5th edition I don't see how they were able to safely increase the charge weight so drastically.
