I have a 1912 Chilean Mauser rebarreled in a .308. I want to restock it. Problem is, finding a military stepped barrel channel stock. I've restocked 1903's before, but never a Mauser. Any recommendations?

Even Boyd's may not fit the steps you need.
I just say, learn to do your own inletting and modification to get the stock that is availabe to fit.
there is plenty of information and help out there if you need it.
It really isn't that hard to do.

I've inletted actions before. I'm just trying to minimize the process if possible. I've seen some nice wooden ones on Ebay. They just looked a little questionable.

I have built a few Mausers with stepped barrels, the last one I cut the channel out and then glassed the channel. After glassing the channel I smeared release material on the action and barrel and then bolted it together. It is a 7mm57 FN that was left in Yugoslavia by the Germans. It is a most accurate rifle.

Did you oversize the entire channel and apply the Accura glass to stiffen the forearm?
