Fed Ex today dropped off the first new airgun I've liked enough to buy since last year. This thing is amazing! Heavy, functional, strips just like an original 1911. Co2 powered to boot. I got a tin of the new lead, copper plated rounds to run through it. Fun (shooting) report to follow.
regards!

Does it do pellets as well as BBs? The pic on the box looks kind of like a pellet coming out, but it's hard to tell?

Do those low-ricochet BBs work well?

Looks a lot like the Remington 1911RAC CO2 BB gun I got last year for Christmas. Lots of indoor target practice fun with this gun!

Bannockburn,
I read reports on the Witness, the K-Swiss and the Remington. All basically the same gun manufactured for different sellers. The Winchester and the Crosman were different but the Colt 1911 Commander is the same base gun with different sights, etc. The actual manufacturer is KWS, I think. They really came up with a doozy of a replica 1911. This gun is sweet!
regards!

I had my choice between the Remington 1911RAC and a SIG P226 CO2 gun, also made by KWS I believe. The SIG was very nicely made and I was quite impressed with it but since I have so many 1911s I thought the Remington would serve me better in the practice role.

Spent a sweet hour just sitting on the steps and whacking steel BB's off of the distant fence posts with the KWS 1911. Tomorrow, I may even bestir myself and put together a Venturi rotating target and really see what it will do. ;o)
regards!

How much more expensive are the low richochet BBs?

I have very few bounce backs shooting indoors at paper targets taped to cardboard shipping boxes full of wadded up news paper and such......and I recover shootable BBs, almost all of them.

I want a better range report! I want! I Want!

I see there is a magazine like a 1911 magazine, where does the CO2 go? How many shots between loading? BBs? CO2? Semi auto? DA or SA?

I have an Officer sized Daisy but the trigger is nothing like an OACP.

How are the sights? Five yard accuracy?

ME WANT!

Now seriously, please tell us more.

Thanks for sharing this with us.

kBob,
Here you go: I've included a pic which shows the C02 mounted in the magazine along with the provided hex key to tighten it into place. The magazine holds 18 BBs in a spring loaded slot on the front of it. SA only just like the gun it is modeled after. Sights are basic 1911, black, matt, front...black, matt 'u' channel in the rear. Once again, just like the old Colt. I was able to consistently hit an upright 4x4 post at 60+ feet and there are plentiful YouTube videos of these guns doing very well at 10 and 15 yds with their smooth bore barrels. The Daisy Copperheads sell for 4.99 at Pyramyd Air for 1500 and the Excites for 14.99 a tin for a similar amount. I don't have a chronograph but I have watched the videos and mid to high 300's for the lighter steel shot and 300-320 for the lead Excite shot can be expected. All in all, you should get yourself one of these. You will not be disappointed in the amount of fun per dollar. ;o)
regards!

Back in the '80's Crossman made an upper that would fit on your 1911 to convert it to a co2/.177 pellet pistol.

So because of this thread I picked up my Powerline OACP this AM and considered going to get a powerlett and some "Double Bees" as my dad calls them.

Noting there were still a few BBs in it and feeling the weight of the Powerlett I put in it a month ago today I just sort of as a personal joked pointed it at the cardboard faced old kitchen drawer stuffed with paper standing in my room.

Still had pressure after a month! Op, slop, bring the mop! Talk about luck. a powerlett staying sealed and under pressure up on the book case for a month.

Wish it did that every time.

Thanks for the additional photos and postings.

Good afternoon,
jmorris, I remember those vaguely. I was a 'serious adult' back then and 'serious adults' only used 'serious firearms'. I was such a goober. It took years and experience to remind me that there could also be 'fun' involved with firearms.
kBob, Happy to be of service and Wow! on the Powerlet. ;o)

OK I'll bring it back to life just for this......

That "Colt" I mentioned had been loaded about a month on 10 May 2016?

Stuck it into my pocket on the way to the barn this afternoon and it still had five BBs in it and that same then month old CO2 powerlet.

Five minute of condensed milk can shots at three yards and decent dent!

I reloaded some BBs and put it back on top of the book case for now.

Almost 4 moths and still pressure!

This is just weird. When I was a kid my and my buddies' Daisy CO200 and rifle versions seldom held gas three days in the closet untouched.
