I've bought a couple of their complete lowers, and was thinking of just slapping on their 16" Freedom complete uppers. The use for these rifles would be general plinking, for fun. I've read their good reviews on their website, but wanted to run it by y'all before I ordered.

I have a PSA rifle assembled from components, freedom upper, classic lower and freedom BCG.

I'm 500 rounds in and rifle has been flawless, not a single failure.

I'm really impressed with the quality and value these rifles provide.

I got the upper for $189 shipped over the Memorial Day sale.

I have a mid length Freedom that's got about 1200 rounds thru it with no issues. It is about a 1.6 MOA rifle in my hands with cheap Wolf gold ammo. Has been 100%. I have about $450 in the whole build and I think it was worth that and then some.

Depends. I got 2 Freedom uppers and had to send both back. The 16" had the front sight so canted I couldnt zero my rear sight and an 18" with a bore that looked like someone ran a drill bit through it.

They made both right, but 2 out of a sample size of 2 has made me a non believer.

I actually had much better luck with a cheap Ptac upper.

I've spent several thousands $$$$ with PSA and about 20% of it has been faulty in one way or another, but thats a risk I've often been willing to take. Their uppers/parts that arent faulty have been great;). But, as with all things, your mileage may vary. Maybe I just have really bad luck or the random AR parts Gods dont like me. I must've earned bad karma when I chopped up that collectible Mauser in 2002...

My PSA Freedom upper has been good so far. It's a 16" mid length with the nitride barrel.

Accuracy is decent, 2-4 inch groups with cheap ammo and iron sights. I bought this to be a plinker so I haven't done a great deal of paper shooting with it but I was pleased with the sight in targets.

The only flaw I could find was a small thin spot in the finish on the sight tower.

Good value for the $$$ IMO.

YMMV

Very happy with mine and family members are happy with theirs.

I've got about 4k through my PSA Freedom with a stainless barrel. I enjoy it and to the best of my knowledge, any jams have been ammunition related.

If PSA doesn't run separate assembly line, and I doubt they do but that's just my opinion, then the only difference between their uppers is the barrel. It's not like there are going to be differences in the stripped uppers, gas tube, A2 flash hider, etc.

That's the exact same rifle I have in the video. Glad to see its functioning perfectly.

They paid way too much for it!

I'll shoot 30 rounds out of mine at a fairly rapid pace, but then I let it cool down for 10 minutes while I shoot something else. I'll never abuse mine like that.
