I have a new case trimmer and I am anxious to try it out. I'm setting up for .308 Win. I picked up a "HMR "WCT" Worlds cheapest trimmer!" This is according to Holub Machine & Repair website, LINK I'm waiting on my die set so I can resize the cases and try out this trimmer. I expect it will work well, but I report back once I have a chance to actually try it. It cost just $23.50 including shipping.

I'm anxious to see how you like it. I have 3 of the WFTs
I also have the Little Crow Gunworks trimmer for .223. The biggest difference, the Little Crow uses a bearing to support the shoulder, this one relies on the plastic housing as the case bearing surface.

I should have my die set tomorrow and will try this trimmer once I have a few cases resized. I will report back.

I tried WFT for 223. I ended up giving it away. Felt like it got dull and slowed down after only 2-3 hundred cases. Drank the blue cool-aid, dropped the big bucks, and got a Dillon RT-1500. It is sweet. If you have a lot to do, go Dillon.

Interesting. Let us know how it is after a few hundred cases. I have a Frankford Arsenal Prep center. The cutter seemed dull after a few hundred .223. Would also roll the case mouth edges over making deburing that much more work. Replaced it with a carbide cutter. Probably 2k cases since change and it's still cutting strong.

I like some of the new trimmers.
Started with Lyman old hand crank model--worked good until
my joints decided they would not work too good.
Picked up a Lyman universal electric unit--with it I don't do the work the machine does.
I hope your new trimmer is a winner.

I use the "Trim-It". .308, .303, .30-06. Many hundreds and so far so good. Video on YouTube.

Little Crow gunworks trimmer is tops in my book. I'm on the 3rd batch of 1000 LC brass in .223, still sharp, but it now is a little more difficult to not have a bit of edge the needs removed.

New cutters are 10 bucks, carbide version 25 bucks.

I'm giving the HMR "WCT" Worlds cheapest trimmer, two thumbs up! I only did 50 cases. The trimmer is easy to setup and did a better job than my Little Crow Trimmer.

The cutter is cut to provide a slight radius to the trimmed case mouth, not requiring deburing. Here are a few photos:

What did you inside chamfer the case mouth with?

Looks good by the way.
I didn't have to chamfer. This is the way it came out of the trimmer. When I first saw the cutter I thought that it looked strange. I expected the blades to be straight, but their not. the cutter puts a shallow radius on the case mouth while cutting.

Interesting, their site says it doesn't deburr or chamfer, just trims. Looks nice.

The case you trimmed needed little, if any, trimming. Cutter probably barely touched it. When you get into heavy trimming, number wise, and come across long cases, the need to trim and debur will be obvious. At that price, cut/debur/trim is just too much to ask for. If it cuts consistent length and the cutting edge has staying power then it is a home run.

Bang, you are correct. I did another 50 cases and some that needed deep trimming did require some minor chamfering. The trimmer is still a good product and is working great. I don't expect to be doing more than 100 cases at a time in the 308 cal.

Looks like a two flute end mill, should last a very long time trimming brass cases. You can also get them with more flutes, TiN coated or even solid carbide. Also can get them ball nosed for a radiused inside chamfer, with extra plastic (at least it looks like maybe acetal or nylon) "holders" could be just as fast as the trimming operation and as cheap.

Even better would be one of the Severance inside/outside debur setups (right) in another holder for alignment.

They have them in many different combinations.
