Need a case trimmer. Reccomendation please.

I bought a Giraud Tri Way for 223 and 308 not long ago. Wasn't cheap. but Wouldn't go any other way again. Also have a WFT for several calibers, but with chamfer and deburr all in one. Hands down the fastest processing I've done.

I do a lot of reloading and bought several Lyman case trimmers.
For calibers I load a lot of I will get it set for a certain caliber and it stays set up for that caliber.
I took the hand crank handle off and had adapters made so I can use a cordless screw driver to trim the cases.
Cranking by hand on any volume of brass isn't for me.
And I like their cam lock case system.
I have them all set up on a piece of 2x6 and for the powered trimmers I made a little riser to keep the screw driver in position.
I can take pictures if you want to see my set up.

There are links to both in the video description.

I enjoyed the video! I'm not a Utube fan but this one was done pretty well. I'm not sure exactly why he used a different method to measure the cases but he seemed to be pretty happy with the results from each. I can trim 15 to 16 cases pre minute at a sustained rate and maintain + or - .005. The only complaint I have with my Giraud it that doing hundreds of cases will tire your fingers out. Especially small cases like 223. Wearing a thin glove like weight lifters or bicycle riders wear helps a lot.

Got tired of that too. ended up taking a vise grip and padded the jaws with leather. set it to just enough tension to hold the brass. saves a ton of wear on the fingers.

Get a Dillon case feeder and an AMP Annealing Amp-Mate case robot.

I have the Frankford Arsenal and LOVE IT!

It's great for 99% of the population doing significant amounts of case trimming. Fast and easy!

This being said, is it ideal for National Benchrest or anyone else using dial indicators to seat primers, etc? ...probably not. For ME and 99% of everyone else, it's amazing!
