Yeah , I think if they didn't like the size of the deer , they should of said something to the dad when boy was not around . I will say that after that I think the people involved had second thoughts about it . My friend is back in the club and his son comes with him . He is a good hunter and boy .

Congrats on a very nice first buck, or any buck for that matter. Get yourself a ledger book to record all your deer hunts, especially the ones you harvest a deer. Then when your old and grey you can look back on all the memories. I have mine and it is amazing that of all the deer I have killed, I remember so many aspects of the hunts except for 1 doe I killed and for some reason I don't remember it. Again congrats and hope you take your kids or spouse or both out some day, get another hunter hooked. As I always say, if you get a kid hooked on hunting and fishing you won't have to go looking for them when they get older, they somehow prefer that to being in a jail cell. Lol

Thank you!! It was a hunt for me and only me since it was my first. I wanted to be selfish in that memory since it was my first. I did, however, recently meet a woman (two weeks ago) and we've already been hunting together as she is a hunter already and loves going! She was unable to hunt, but she was just as delighted to just tag along and be my company. I actually asked her to marry me last night and we are eloping in a couple weeks in Dallas. Kinda crazy, but we have everything to gain from it!

Well good luck on the marriage. I kind of think you know when you meet the right woman. My wife and I have been married for 45 years and I would be lost without her, she is definetly my help mate. Wishing you and long, happy, and fruitful marriage. A word of wisdom, you get out of it what you put into it, never go to bed mad, making up is half the fun of an argument. I agree completely! This will be round 2 for me.....the first round was kind of pushed on me and wasn't really my decision. But this time is 100% my choice with no influence other than my heart! Thank you for the wishes! And hopefully she and I will tag a doe this weekend
