Found in the "junk" box at the local pawn/gun shop. My second home

This is from 1999 from Midway. Cost $90 back then, Must be one of the earliest electronic powder scales, Has all the paperwork and receipt.
The instructions are like a computer science manual!

It works!!

The paperwork shows Pact was Part of RCBS. Looking at RCBS the scale is almost exactly (on the outside) the same as the RCBS Rangemaster 2000

You probably should have left it in the junk box....it would be an appropriate home for it
Cheap digital scales are just random number generators

Maybe let it pick some lottery numbers for you....

I have a Pact BBK. I got it in about 1996. It is the only scale I use....The Pact was not a "cheap digital scale".

I'm just yanking Rule 3's chain....based on previous conversations with him

I don't know anything about the PACT PPK.....I hope it works good for him

Sorry but they are the biggest piece of junk you will ever come across. Mine has been back to Pact at least 5 times and now the idiots want me to start paying for new load cells that might last 18 months. No thanks.

This old RCBS digital scale has the Made By Pact label on the bottom and it goes back to the early to mid 90s. I leave it on 24/7 and while I don't use it for powder charges it still works fine and calibrates fine. Using check weights it delivers accurate results. I don't use it simply because I have better scales available to me but it still works just fine.

Is yours a BBK or BBK 2?

Pretty sure it's the earlier one, sounds like yours has been reliable. To say I'm upset about is an understatement, when it works it's a great little scale but if I have to send it back every year and pay the shipping what good is it. I ended up buying a Dillon and it has been super. I guess I should fix the BBK one last time and list it on ebay or give it away.

I have no plans on using it. There are to many details in the "manual" I did zero.calibrate it and it is spot on.

It uses a 9V battery and if the battery gets low it freaks out.(per the manual) Also lots of warnings on warming it up a, drafts, electronic interference etc etc.

That it was cool for being 19 years old.

I have to replace the battery in mine every year or two.

19 years old is still new to me....lol

That's cool, not sure how mine could be such a dog and yours has been fine because I'm pretty sure they are close in age. Think I might call them again soon, after I've had a couple pops. :D
