Would anyone be willing to give me a seating depth and min-max load form a nosler book for 55gr varmegeddon Hollow point .224 diameter. I found a 100 pack on clearance at midway for $9 and couldn't pass them up.

powders are benchmark, h335, h322.

thanks!

Thanks guys. I found it after i asked on here. I tried finding it on my phone but had a hard time. I don't see h322 listed so im guessing that powder is a no go?

do any of you gents shoot these bullets by chance? I'm trying to cheapen up my range time a little more and these are a few bucks cheaper than v max. I would also like to use them for varmint hunting but never used a hollow point on woodchucks. wondering how they would perform.

H322 would work fine, nosler just chose not to list it. Hodgdon list 21 grains start and 23 grains max for a 55 grain with h322. I have shot the varmageddon tipped bullets and they are excellent.

I want to try the tipped ones next. i paid like $9.95 for the hollow points so figured give them a shot. I'm slowly trying different bullets and powders so i can compile a list of stuff that works and doesn't work incase we have another shortage or i cant find a certain bullet i have a backup. plus i really enjoy doing workups and testing.

I take it i would be okay using hodgdons data for 55gr bullets even though they list SOFT POINT and these are HP?

Yes it is generally safe to use data for different bullets of the same construction and weight. For example you can use the same starting charge for a 50 grain V max or a 50 grain sierra prohunter since they are both lead core jacketed bullets, but not for a 50 grain Barnes since it is solid copper. Some jacketed bullets will show pressure a grain or so earlier than others due to different jacket thicknesses, lead core hardness, length of bearing surface, ect... As with any combo of course start low and watch for pressure signs.

thanks. I know to workup just wasn't sure of a starting load and didn't want to take say a v max start and max and have it be wrong.
