Hello out there,

I am trying to determine the age of a box of .410 gauge shells made by Western / Super X.
The tuck tab on the box is marked: N28NF82
Does anyone know of a web site that decipher that code?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Based on the numbers provided, the first five digits seem to be random with the last two in the lot number indicating the year (1982) of manufacture.

Thanks for your reply. I was thinking 82 was the year of production but wasn't sure. I read someplace that the other characters could indicate Month, Day, etc.

This website is a good resource for determining value, but also I have seen approximate dates of manufacture on some of the boxes. You will have to do some digging for that, but it might help. Just be careful as it is really easy to spend a bunch if money on there when the auction is running.

Can you post a picture of the box?
