I need help again. Does anyone know where I can purchase a few .360 158 gr lead boolits to try in my rbh? Montana nor Missouri list them.
Thanks in advance

I was able to get some .431 Kieths for my 44 mag sbh from Montana. Thanks on help for that one!

Have never bought any that size... but that is what gets shot in my 357 carbines and revolvers. I cast them and powdercoat them with the BB tumble method. No leading at all with PC or Alox.

Probably not much help, but NOE makes excellent molds in the proper sizes of you decide to go that route. I had a 44 carbine that I just could not get to shoot with commercial cast stuff. Made my own in .434 and it shot great. The 45 70 will make you a caster as well in a hurry lol.

Whatever your chamber/cylinder will just fit is what Id use, unless you have some crazy out of spec stuff going on. Pretty much every cast bullet gun of mine does well with projectiles as large as I can fit in there. Sometimes you get an oddball chamber or cylinder that is smaller than the bore... I usually have the gunsmith fix that, but you could always stick to plated or jacketed in such a firearm.

You could probably find what you are after over on castboolits.gunloads.com. There are quite a few small commercial casting guys over there and I bet they could hook you up.

Redbullitt,
If you cast .360, could I buy a few (maybe 50 for a good test) from you? Just bare bullet, no lube necessary. I just want to try them before I invest in a mold of that size.

I do not have much cast up right now, but I do have a few that might fit what you are after, at least enough to test and see if you want to pursue it. I do not have any .360 158g cast up right now since I have mostly been using the NOE 180 for all my .357 shooting.

Got some of these in .359 cast up in WW/scrap. No lube, unzized as from mold.

Also have some of these done in ww/scrap. They measure at .360. 2 varieties here.
177g w/ hollow point, lube and gas check, Have some without lube and check too.
187g w/ Wide flat nose, powdercoat and gas check, have some without PC and check too.

The Lee 158 weighs out at about 160g and does not cast at nice as the NOE. BUT it does plenty well enough in my carbines and revolvers. I generally tumble lube in ALOX, though powder coat works too.

The NOE mold does very well from my carbines and revolvers. It does fine at full h110 loadings as well as lower power 1000 FPS carbine loads. The hollow pointed bullet is the one that usually gets revolver duty. No issues there at low or full power loads in my guns.

The 180s are heavier than I used to use, but I bought it as a carbine mold and it shot well enough in all my guns that I generally dont bother to cast up any others.

Shoot me a PM if you would like to discuss it further!

I just got a NOE 360 - 160 WFN. Just cast about 30 lbs of them. WW Lead water quenched. Sent you a PM

Here's a trick -- measure your bullets after powder coating, and you'll find them about .001-.002" larger. A couple or three coats will bring a .357 bullet up to over .360 and it should shoot nicely in a .38 S&W.
