Thermold Magazines

No experience with M14 ones but the AR-15 ones are junk. I would avoid unless they are dirt cheap and you want to take a chance

They used to call them ThermoMelt at one time when they were in use for the C7.

Haven't tried one in the M1A yet, too many other choices IMHO.

The Kuwaiti army had them for the M16 rifle when they replaced their FAL's after desert storm. They were terrible.

I don't think that I have ever read anything good about a Thermold magazine.

O'course, most or all of the things that I have read concerned the m16 mags from years ago.

Perhaps the Issue(s?) have been corrected?

That said, if I saw some Thermold M14 mags advertised at, say, ~$6-$8/ea and I already had an order to which I could easily add them, I would probably buy a couple to try. Otherwise, not.

I have a couple Thermold 30/45 magazines that I picked up cheap. They work fine in 30 rnd mode and 45 rnd mode. I'm happy with them.

Edit to add these are AR-15 magazines.

Other than the fact that they won't feed, they're fantastic!

Seriously, they're pure, concentrated, unadulterated crap. Just get your M1A mags from Checkmate Industries and worry about other things.
