I cleaned my Remington 700 tonight. I'd read good things about Hoppes Elite on here, so I decided to give it a try. I saturated a couple of patches with it and ran them through the bore. Then I let the rifle sit for a little bit and let the elite soak the bore. I then sprayed some on my bore brush and ran that through the bore a couple of times. Finally, I sent a dry patch through the bore and...

A nice puddle of dark black gooey fluid poured out the muzzle! Thank goodness I had a plastic bin sitting under the muzzle when that happened, or it would have left a small disgusting puddle of carbon goo on my living room carpet.

I was quite impressed with the Hoppe's Elite. It removed carbon that the Hoppe's No. 9 and CLP just couldn't get cleaned out. Highly recommended!

I use Bore Tech exclusively. I have found nothing that cleans a bore of all residue (carbon, copper, etc) like this product. In turn, absolutely zero odor. It is a tad more costly but it is a pleasure to use - very fast to remove everything. I have tried just about all of the other stinky stuff - no comparison. Good shooting.

Hoppes Elite is what my wife and brother use to clean their firearms. I prefer it to Hoppes 9 namely because it has no odor. My best gun cleaner is still G96. I would sneak it into the armory to clean the M249s and M240s after shooting thousands of rounds of blanks.

Very interesting....... I've already heard good things about it and this just reinforces my intent to try some. Thanks for posting.

The M Pro 7 is a similar product line from the same company. Buy whichever is cheaper and in stock at your big box store.
