I'll say bring a .44 Spl load or two to compare with the 180 and 240 Magnum loads. Let us know what you think

I like both my 4.2" M69.

My loads are a bit hotter than 44 Special loads loaded in 44 Magnum cases, 240 SWC traveling 950-1000 fps. It is enough recoil for me. (I got a 460 Mag if I want wrist snapping recoil).

I enjoy shooting it. It is a good size for a big bore revolver, in my opinion. But, I like K and L frames better than N frames anyway.

Second hand info as the gun is my brothers. His first experiences with it were terrible and he had to send it back to S&W. They replaced the hammer, trigger, and cylinder in his new gun. The good news is that when he got it back it was all put right and he is very fond of the gun. It shoots accurately and functions flawlessly for him.
