Does anyone have a copy of the Treelounge video, Return to Moonshine Island that the could spare? I had a copy way back when I was thinking about buying one, but can no longer find it.

I never did see the Return to Moonshine Island, but I did see Hunting Moonshine Island. That was a good tape back in it's day. That was before hunting became so commercial. It has been years since I've watched a hunting video with commercials. Now I watch all of the hunting on YouTube. I did end up buying one of their Tree Lounge Stands, it wasn't worth a dang for hunting but it has been great for hauling out deer. I can haul a 200 pound deer on that thing faster than my wife can walk and she's not slow.

A member of our hunt club was killed using a Tree Lounge stand. The edgewise piece of plywood slipped during a brief thunderstorm and he fell over 30 ft. to his death.

I believe that. When you stood up in the thing you were about 3 feet away from the tree, just balancing there on a narrow piece of plywood. I worked over 100 feet in the air when I was a oil field derrick hand and that tree stand made me more nervous than handling drill pipe in the air. Trying to balance and pull a 60 pound bow at the same time and be in the right position after pulling the bow back. I could never seem to be facing the right direction and the safety belt was always in the way. I picked up on that stand from Roger Raglin and early in his career he was a smart hunter. Never could figure out why he liked that stand.

I'm sorry to hear about your friends' passing. I'm guessing it was an older version, as the "newer" ones had all metal tubing platforms to stand on. I never bought one, but liked the videos. There is a company that has been producing them again as "treeloungers" www.treelounger.com They don't have the videos though.

Margaret dancing her little circle jig after making the kill was the best part. Her husband had some sort of speech defect and spit all over himself as he talked. I had to look away when he was talking. :uhoh:

Her dance is the best part of the video! I think he was suffering from Parkinson's near the end. I think it is great that they showed he can responsibly hunt and enjoy the outdoors.
