So I was at my local sporting goods store and I saw one on the shelf. Next to it was a sale sign that said 15% off all firearms. So I bought it. No idea why. I know they can be a pain and may require some fine tuning ,but it sure does look fun. lol

I had one the novelty wore off quickly and after that it didn’t get much use.

They were on a clearance at a LGS a few years ago. I played around with one and decided to pass. As a matter of fact that experience was one of the reasons I started looking into pump rifles to replace some of my lever actions too. An interesting design on its own right, but that's about it.

I could see getting one if you were interested in Cowboy Action Shooting or if you wanted to try something different from the usual SxS, O/U, pump, or semi-auto shotgun.

I hope you're looking forward to some fluff n' buff.

Trust me, they need it. Cheap Chinese shotgun. Cool though.

I remember being interested in them when I first saw them. I wouldn't mind polishing some parts to make it run smoother. I don't think I can afford a Winchester and I don't know anyone that owns one, the PW87 is probably the closest I'll ever get.

Well I shot it a bunch this weekend. When I first picked it up at the store it was pretty oily and the action was rough. I cleaned the hell out of it before I shot it. I also took some fine sand paper to all the moving parts too. It was a little gritty still but after 40 or so shells it smoothed up. Mine seems to feed and function decent. I don't find operating the lever that awkward or hard. Its a long throw so if you're shorter and don't have that long of a reach this might not be the gun for you. You'd probably have to shorten the length of pull. I cleaned it up and oiled it again after shooting it. The thing cycles really smooth now. I guess it defiantly needed to be broken in.

I shot mostly cheap low brass shells and some buckshot. Everything cycled fine. Only had a few hang ups on the last shell not being thrown out. This is a really fun gun. Defiantly more fun than my pump guns. Everyone wants to shoot it. lol. I don't think I'd rely on this particular gun for home defense or hunting. I'm not sure how it'll last over time. It'd be kinda fun to use a higher quality one for hunting though. Maybe someday ill find an original or buy an Italian copy....

Sweet! I had one and sold it off to a friend. Always liked it and have since been occasionally looking at them or the Chiappa renditions.

Yep I hear that on one. Chiappa makes one with rifle sights it would make a great deer gun, but for a thousand bucks I could buy a really nice .308 or like deer gun.
