things to do on a rainy day

On a rainy day, in terms of doing something gun related, I either go shooting (at an indoor range), or else I clean my guns from the last time I went shooting.

I save the really tedious reloading chores for fall/winter when there's limited daylight. Seems like there's always brass that needs to be cleaned or prepped, especially the high volume calibers.

On rainy days I'll normally load.

I spent the weekend revisiting about 150 rounds of M1 Carbine brass that I had set aside during an initial inspection. The brass had a pronounced bulge about a quarter inch above the case head. This was above where the walls of the case met the web of the case head. Although the brass is all intended to be converted to 5.7mm J/22 Spitfire, I went ahead and resized it with a 30 Carbine die. In the case of all but about 10 cases, the die was able to reach well below bulged area and successfully return it to proper dimension and profile.

I go shooting.

I usually shoot off then end of our covered horse arena, but I can move under cover in the arena if the weather is not cooperative.:)

But, even though, rainy days are good for catching up on indoor activities.

Armored farmer's ammo wallet is nice.

Yes his ammo wallet makes me want to take up leather working , but I’m so stinking OCD with reloading add a new hobby that would put me over the edge
