Ha ha ha! Man, it sure will shock you the first time, won't it? Your story sounded so familiar.

I almost guarantee you'll never have this problem once you're done with the bench and using the rifle in practical/field situations.
 
Well, I've converted 3 Saigas in .223 and never had your problem firing from the bench.

Glad to hear it. Honestly, I never had this problem either, but it sure reared it's ugly head last week. All I can attribute it to (now) is sloppy range technique. Unfortunately, our range only has a few lanes for offhand rifle shooting (and they go fast), so the best I can do is shoot the rifle from a handheld, seated position. Heck, if I ever have to use it on zombies or the like, I most certainly will not be sitting.:p

Ummm, yeah. Woke me right up. My buddy in the next lane looked over and, very calmly, said: "That's not good." Understatement of the week.
