Looking for a semi auto for HD

My wife picked out a 20 guage Remington 11-87. It's short and light. She has been kind enough to let me take it bird hunting. It's an excellent quail and dove gun with also with being a soft shooter. It's loaded with buckshot as her HD gun. I know some think a 12 guage is necessary but at HD ranges this thing is just as deadly and much easier to handle.

Thanks for the advice. I think I'll be looking around for the Mossberg 930 combo. I have a beautiful Italian wife but the shotguns are out of my price range. Plus I still have my pumps and Ruger Minis to hold me over. Thanks:thumbup:

The Beretta 1301 tactical and some Federal Flight Control would be a great choice, but probably will cost a bit more than the Mossberg.

Look around if you are interested in the Beretta 1301 Tac, I bought one (brand new) a while back for $659.00 (Bud's Guns), no shipping charge or taxes. It is light, fast, and has shot everything I've put in in without an issue. I also have a Mossy 930 that is a good gun but was "ammo-sensitive" (had to be 1350 FPS or better velocity). It works fine now with almost anything but I would definitely pick the 1301 Tac first.

If it's just for HD, I'd suggest the SPX. Mine has been flawless with every load I've tried in it, and is without a doubt, the softest shooting 12 I've ever fired. I generally keep it loaded with 00 buck.
