web site is crappy, blocking reading the article like that.

Yep, I will not remove my ad blocker to read the article - perhaps you can post parts that comply with THR's rules

They seem to focus on cowboy action shooting. I used their .45 Colt loads. They were ok.

Hmm. Stinks, but there are plenty other budget ammo reloading companies out there. When Ultramax was the major player in the factory reloading game this would have been bigger news.

This is what insurance is for, I hope they have plenty, and paid their premiums regularly.

Rounds cooking off when not in a chamber aren't very dangerous.

It's the a barrel left loaded on the table by someone testing for a plunk that could be a serious issue. Glad nobody was injured.

It happens all the time. Hornady burned up and sent a shipping container scooting like a bottle rocket about a year ago.... this is why the plants are in relatively loosely populated areas.

Ultra max will be ok. If you want to see some strange factory incidents look at charcoal and wood smoking plants. They go up so often that they operate 2 locations just for the occasion!

Only thing I’m surprised about is how small their operation is. I hope everybody is safe.

Historically you are absolutely correct. Back in the early 19th century the DuPont powder mills regularly had explosions and were built with openings (no walls) facing out over the Brandywine Creek to safely vent them. The company kept a family of stonemasons always on the payroll for repairing the damaged mill buildings. Those masons would build stone walls around properties all across the countryside when they were not needed at the mills, thereby giving the region its beautiful scenic character.
