Good afternoon ladies and gents. After much YouTubing and Googling, I'm still unsure. I have a Ruger LCP 1st gen. I'm looking for an IWB holster. The only holster I've ever purchased is my DeSantis pocket holster. I fear the risk of it staying on my gun when I draw, hence the need for an IWB that secures to a belt. Any suggestions will be appreciated. I have just a few criteria. 1= won't print through tshirts and jeans because I live on the surface of the Sun, a.k.a. Miami. 2= able to swivel and be placed in multiple " o'clock " positions. 3= preferably somewhat breathable material because...well, Miami. 4= covers the whole part of the LCP that touches my skin so my sweat won't corrode the finish of the LCP. 5= will keep the LCP in place should I find myself thrown to the ground and wrestling before I get a chance to draw it. Thanks and sorry for the verbosity. Also, please correct me if I'm asking questions in the wrong place or making any other mistakes vis-à-vis using this website. I'm new to threads and posts. Cheers.

We’re neighbors; I’m in Broward so I feel you on the heat.

99% of people wouldn’t notice even if you were open carrying without a badge.

Are you willing to consider a larger carry gun since you’re considering IWB? The smaller guns for me are harder to grab under duress from an IWB holster and with a proper holster you may be surprised how well more conventional guns carry.

Hey neighbor. You're right. However, I worry about printing since I literally wear form fitting tshirts every day. Also, I figure the smaller the gun, the less uncomfortable it may be. I would consider it, but right now I don't want to make another firearm purchase.

I've been carrying a 1st gen LCP in a desantis pocket holster on and off for 8 years now. The only clothing I've found where the holster might stay attached to the gun is with loose fitting running/basketball shorts. I've never had a problem wearing anything else.

I do have a couple IWB holsters but I don't care to carry my LCP that way. The gun is so tiny I've found it's difficult to get my fingers between the grip and the top of my belt to grab it, and that's when practicing with it in a non-stressed environment.

Hey bassjam. That's a good point about the difficulty of getting a hold on the grip with an IWB. Unfortunately, I wear loose fitting jeans and jean shorts almost exclusively. So my pocket holster has a tendency to stay on the gun.

My Desantis SofTuck will fit the criteria.
Thin suede is breathable.
Plastic clip goes over the waistband of your pants, and under your belt. It has a small hook that snags under your belt for positive draw.
The cant is adjustable also.
Check it out.
About $25.00 from Amazon.

IWB is going to be Milt Sparks for me. Even with the 17 week wait. A Criterion or VM-2. I have both.

I don't have an LCP but if I did decide to go that direction I would probably pick a Sticky Holster over an IWB. To me the advantage of size for a LCP is the ability to carry it in a pocket.

I rarely carry my LCP in an iwb holster but I have 2. The N82 tactical original subcompact https://n82tactical.com/product-category/holsters/holsters-ruger/holsters-ruger-lcp/ is super comfortable without an undershirt but on me it seems to print more than the same type holster carrying a Glock 26. YMMV. It also does a great job of protecting the gun from sweat (which I do a lot of). The alien gear cloak tuck conceals better and is also very comfortable but leaves the grip exposed to your skin. For pocket carry you should look at a Remora or Sticky holster. They do a good job of staying in the pocket when drawing.

It's kydex and thus not breathable but it won't let sweat thru either.
I agree, breathable and protecting the finish from sweat don't go together.

Garrett Industries has a variety of IWB holsters with quite a bit of cant and height adjustment.

This isn't going to work either. You need a fashion adjustment if you're going to wear a gun on the belt.

If you want to try a pocket holster that is more likely to stay in your pocket on the draw, something like the pocket holster from Aholster may be better than what you've tried.
