Well as of yesterday I put a deposit in my first Smith and Wesson revolver . Im all for rugers usually, so i kinda feel like !'m cheating. Stopped by my LGS to have a look around. In the used case a nice little j frame was sitting there. I said would ya look at that 3" with adjustable sights, man what a handy little gun. I better not touch it. Defianetly should noooooot touch it .....ah crap the fellow behind the counter saw me looking, and he knows me to well.....EVERY TIME!!!!
He pops it out of the case and sets it in front of me ,i look at it a sec and say I better not.You know me to well. (clerk and i have a good relationship ) .I sigh and pickit up, fully knowing what will happen when i do. He grins as usual, and says you're going to love that one. He was right.... I did. Like new 60-15. Yes it's got a pimple on the side but that don't bother me much. Next to it in the case was a 2.25" 38 special sp101 ,which is the same size as what I CCW (mines 357), I put them next to each other for size comparison. Little skinnier ,little longer, little lighter, hmmm not to shabby his thing is pretty handy. I really dig the adjustable sights.Than i pull the trigger,o boy ,NICE! Now i thumb the hammer and pull on the trigger.,ohhh myyy lawwwd......SOLD!!!
Went home and had a long talk with my rugers, I hope they get along...... They'll have a few weeks to sort it out before I pick up the new to me SW
Edit to add:
I did go into the store not only to browse like usual, but to price out a model 60 pro. They've interested me for a while. I love the sp101 and have considered getting a 3 " as well . But i like the idea of adjustable sights. So when I saw the M60-15 behind the counter used I kinda took it as a sign and went for it. Few hundred bucks cheaper than the pro. Just missing the night sight and PC barrel, which is no biggy. And the Grips are easy enough to get. It also came with a holster to boot. Couldn't pass it up. Still debating if I want to buy it out right our trade something towards it.
