My 3" Kimber K6S, shown here with a few of her short sisters.

This one is so easy to sell if I need to yet so dang versatile. The action has been worked over by Austin Behlert , who was a Master Gunsmith . The trigger DA and SA surpass my two Python triggers , actually being they don't stack in DA, is better . The 6" barrel is accurate like a razor ! A known Dan Wesson trait and this was built in their best years. So it would go after the New Service custom I guess, I have 3 more unusual New Services after all.

I'm going to say my favorite is my Model 15-2, from 1966. I got it about five years ago, and for a guy like me who is always buying, selling and trading guns, that's a lifetime. I don't even shoot it a lot to tell you the truth, but when I do, it makes me look like I know what I'm doing.

I actually think the main reason I like it is the diamond target stocks. Those old target stocks are just a little smaller all over, and feel totally different from more recent models. Probably the main reason I've never considered selling it. I know I couldn't replace them. The target trigger, hammer, and trigger stop don't hurt any either.

I am torn between my S&W Model 19 nickel, 4 inch barrel with target grips and my Colt King Cobra ss, 4 inch barrel. I love the .357 round. I am also partial to my first piece that my grandfather gave me. I grew up shooting it and when I moved away for my first job he gave it to me. A Colt Frontier Scout .22LR/Mag. SAA, it is nickel and had the interchangeable cylinders. I put the magnum cylinder in there and some hollow points and used it for home defense for a long time.

My favorite is my newest one:

It's a late production (all US parts) USFA with the black powder frame in 45 Colt. My avatar is a 5-1/2" USFA but I may change it to this 4-3/4". It balances better for me and shoots where the sights point. A case full of BP or substitute behind a 255g RNFP will put a smile on my old wrinkled face.

0515181946a.jpg Dan Wesson (Monson, Mass). Paid $375 with the holster a couple years back. A certain Hawaiian member sent me the oversized grips for free ;) really appreciate that. Insanely accurate. Slicker than snot.

That's an easy one for me.

My favorite revolver is Stella,,,
My S&W Model 15 Combat Masterpiece.

In my not-so-humble opinion,,,
The Model 15 is the finest .38 revolver ever made.

Pardon me, sir, but I'm fairly certain that you are mistaken. The finest .38 Special revolver ever made is clearly the Model 67.

Maybe if my 15 weren't crippled by being a stiff DAO (former LAPD gun), I'd feel differently, so I guess it's barely possible that you may be right. :p

The 67 isn't my all-time favorite, though; that'd be this 6" 19-3:

I have to go out of my way to miss with that one. I'm not sure what it is exactly that makes it so special to me-- I guess it's a combination of a very smooth 8.5 lb trigger, target grips that fit my hands like they're tailored, the ease with which it holds steady, and the overall solid feel of the beast.

Well now sir,,,
Since I also gave a home to a fine Model 67,,,
I can't argue that you are wrong,,,
Just a bit misguided. ;)

Anyone who truly knows fieryarms should realize,,,
Blue steel is always preferred over soul-less steel. :neener:

I only have one at the moment but I had three more in the past (please, see my signature). Now I have this .22L.R. Weihrauch HW9 ST Target Trophy. Very fun and accurate.

My newest one is becoming a quick favorite.
It's a 4 5/8" Super Blackhawk in .44 magnum. The grips are American Holly by Private Schultz, who I just learned is retired and not making grips for sale anymore.
I'm glad I got this pair while he was still in business. He made a great product at a very reasonable price.

One of my absolute favorites that has accounted for some of the most notable game I've taken. It's a BFR in .500 JRH with a 5 1/2-inch barrel, and their Bisley grip frame. It's extremely accurate and terminally effective.

I was hoping Max would chime in on this one. When you're like me and own a total of 4 revolvers, it is fairly easy to pick one. I would imagine that a few guys here like Max, Craig and Driftwood have a little harder time narrowing it down.

Magnum Research BFR 30/30 with 10" barrel. I have shot a few revolvers, but this one taught me the meaning of "flinch". Took a while to get over, shooting, training, blanks random in the cylinder, practice, but well worth it. The funny thing was, my Super Redhawk "kicked" more than the BFR, but I just had this in my head, and created this "flinch". Joy to shoot now.

So much goodness happening in this photo.

Colt 2nd generation SAA, 7 1/2" barrel, that I bought new in 1974. I made the mistake of throwing out the original box, because it was shopworn. Reproduction "Stagecoach" boxes sell for hundreds of dollars today.
