Retro A1 handguard on a float tube.

I was looking at the Retro stock that Brownells has and was wondering if anyone has mounted it on a float tube like the ones White Oak or Compass Lake offer?

I realize the heatshields would need to be removed and some modification to the channel would be needed but I am looking for more on what needs to be changed from someone who has done the install.

I take it that no one has thought about doing this.

Does anyone know another forum that might have more interest in a project like this?
