I have one of the Carbon 15 Carbines (also called the Superlight Carbine) from Bushmaster and am trying to put a new free-float handguard on it.
This is the gun:

and this is the free-float:

(I got the one-piece V-match Carbine length).
Problem: the end of the one-piece is supposedly supposed to screw on in place of the barrel nut, but the end is far to large to do so. It looks like I need some sort of a barrel nut, or maybe I should get a two piece free float, but either way I've also heard that the Carbon 15 models don't have standard barrel nuts. (same size, different threading).
I guess what I'm asking is 1) does anyone know of a workaround, or 2) has anyone had luck mounting aftermarket free float tubes on this thing?
