For the money ( around $360 ) these seem to be a tough to beat firearm. Sure would appreciate hearing from those of you who actually own one and from those of you who have actually shot one, not just stories and reports you have heard secondhand.
Thank you for your valuable input. I will be using this as a carry piece and also for home defense out here in the country, where my closest neighbor is over a quarter-mile away. A merry Christmas to everyone on the Highroad!

the DA wouldn't be my choice of canik's, but the canik tp9 line itself is pretty sweet. It's basically a walther ppq. infact, you can swap top ends between canik and walther and they work. The tp9SF has the best striker trigger I have ever felt, and personally, I love the warren sights.

I haven't shot the da variant, but I own a tp9sfx and I agree with @greyling22 , it's got the nicest sa trigger of any striker fired pistol I've ever used, and nicer than most of the hammer fired guns as well.

I might have to give the da variant a try tho, I like the idea of being able to leave the striker decocked on a live chamber, and I've been considering a shorter 9mm.

Oh I swapped out some springs with glock after market versions and for 6 bucks the already good trigger was improved even further.

I have the TP9v2. Possibly the most accurate centerfire pistol I own. Quality seems to be there as well.

Only issue is parts and aftermarket goods. Personally I would buy a used “name brand” gun. I am looking to sell mine. Its not like I shoot it that much better than a glock and I can find sights/mags/holsters anywhere for a glock.

Think you could copy and paste this quite accurate comment on dozens of posts here.

My Canik TP9sfx has ben a very pleasant surprise. It's become a favorite. Excellent quality, very accurate and reliable. I've found no flaws.
