I took the kids out yesterday, so we could get a little trigger time in. We had a blast! (pun intended)

I took a nice selection of pistols with us from Uberti, Pietta and ASM.

The ASM 3rd Model Dragoon really puts out the smoke with 40 grains of 3f Goex.

My daughter and son like the Pietta 51 Navy. It fits their hands well and with a light charge of 20 grains, is easy to handle for them.

All of my guns have the insides slicked up and a few have upgraded nipples like Treso. We experienced no cap jams all day. The stars must have been aligned! All in all, a really fun day.

My kids are all grown and no time for shooting, My 16 year grand daughter and I were able to spend Wednesday mornings at the range this summer, and since school started a visit or two to the indoor range at the club. I felt it necessary to caution her about talking it up around school though, silly I guess but one just doesn't know now days.

It looks like the young gentleman has earplugs in. Yep, eye protection is important on C&B. Sparks and Cap frags tend to go evawhere.

I’ve been thinking of the advice whughett gave his granddaughter. It’s too bad that such advice needs to be given at all but the current nature of our screwed up society makes it seem wise counsel. Kids have set off panic alarms at school by just drawing a picture of a firearm or eating their sandwich into the shape of a pistol. Amazing and sad. Snowflake school staff don’t help much either.

Jimster - +1 - BP stank good!

Yes Sir, I know what you mean. Living in California, I have had that same talk with my kids. My daughter did post a picture on her social media account though. Fortunately it was met with curiosity and enthusiasm, not negativity.

Thanks for the kind words from everyone. I got a late start having children, my daughter was born when I was 40. But my wife and I are trying to raise them right. Both kids are doing very well, my daughter is even a straight A student. We're very proud of them.

Good on you for taking the kids with you. They are the future and you still have the chance to teach them whats real in life before the modern school system and college try to pollute their minds with the liberal BS they pass off as knowledge now. I took my own sons shooting and hunting when they were young. My youngest son shot some qualification course in the Navy and out shot everyone in his class. He gave his time of shooting with me and my teaching help as the reason he shot so well. (bless his heart) And I shot with him again when he was down for a visit last summer and he CAN shoot. He shot the Beretta 9mm in the Navy and a borrowed Makarov while shooting with me. I am making a gift of my S&W model 915 to him next time I see him.

My bud whose land I shoot on is going on a cruise at the end of the month and while he is gone I am going to do some serious sighting in and shoot a few of my BP guns while he is gone weather permitting. I have 3 new BP rifles I want to shoot and also my Richland Arms 44 Remington I have never fired.
