The simpler the better. Key features: rudimentary sights (not needed at 20ft or less great snag free sights), heel mag release (secures magazine eliminating possibility of releaing mag unintentionally), no slide stop lever (not needed in gun that does not jam). Wonderful isn't it?

Having different guns for different purposes isn't really the same as having a "carry rotation".

Having a "rotation" usually carries the connotation that you're switching guns because you're bored with the one you've been carrying

I could see people looking at it both ways. It isn't in the Websters dictionary.

I'm not a one gun guy but I'm about as close as you can get.

My "carry rotation" consists of a Glock 19 and a Glock 26 and I "rotate" based on my concealment needs. I have a Glock 43 for deep concealment but I think it's been 5 years since I've actually had a need for that level of concealment.

I do something similar, but with SAO options (a 1911 or 226 SAO). Same manual of arms, very similar trigger and always carried in the same location.

I practice regularly with all types and feel reasonably certain I could carry a Glock or DA/SA or revolver with little loss in performance, but I prefer to keep everything consistent just to stack the deck that little more, so to speak.

*I have no experience with a slide mounted safety, however and would not feel confident in carrying such a system

"Actually, all three pistols are double action only, all three have 3 dot sights, and I’m not required to engage a safety on any of them."

Same. My "rotation" of carry handguns are all DAO with no safety. There is nothing to get confused about.

Summer attire: sloven loose fitting untucked shirt with plaid, pattern, stripe (A-frame/wifebeater/tank underneith) cargo shorts. (minimal clothing).
Glock 19 or 22 AIWB and a Shield/Glock 43 in weak hand front pocket.

About the most I generally do for winter is switch from a Glock 26.3 carried strong side in a Galco Summer Comfort to a Glock 23.4 carried strong side in a Galco Summer Comfort. Then back again for spring, summer and fall.

Then I occasionally toss in a Walther PPS Mod 1 in a DeSantis Nemesis if there can’t be any chance of discovery.

I’ve tried the S&W Shield here and there, but I prefer the PPS.
