I recently came into a Savage Model 7 and it's a blast to shoot. Fun, and a tack driver. But it came with just one magazine, and it's a bit rusty and temperamental. I can't find any Model 7 mags online, but the Savage Mk II mags sure look similar. Any reason I shouldn't try one of these?

Here’s what you need. My old Savage (Model 6 or 7, don’t recall at the moment) came with a MkII magazine and I went nuts trying to get it running before realizing the error.

The wife and kids can’t get enough of that old Savage. Think I gave $60 for it during the ammo shortage a few years back. Knocked off the rust, cleaned it up, all smiles since. Still hope to track down a scope mount some day or have a buddy d&t it (I don’t trust my skill or drill press that much). Hope you enjoy it!
