Yesterday was my birthday, friends and family treated to a nice meal and cake which means the world to me. I just wish some friends and family were still around, but they are always in the heart.

However I treated myself, I struck upon a used Anaconda in a local gun store, and struck a deal to make it mine. Been wanting one for a long time, just never went for it but now I did. Used but in very good condition it has been shot exactly what I want one that has some use so I am not going to fret over shooting a like new or mint one. And shooting it is what I am going to do.

Happy birthday and congratulations on the new revolver.
Now go shoot it...a lot!

I'm jealous!! I wish Colt would have made the Anaconda in 41 mag. If they did, I would own one.

The fact that it has been shot at least some makes it better as far as i'm concerned as I would automatically hesitate to shoot it. I know others feel differently about their Colt revolvers, but that is how I feel.

The way I feel about it also which why I wanted a used one. Someday I may get a Python also and if I do I will want one that has some use also. Thanks everybody it is .44 by the way.

Nice choice lionking for a from-you-to-you gift.

I traded into mine several years back and it's a keeper.

I eventually bought a set of factory wood grips for it but prefer the Pachmayr rubber ones. :uhoh:

thanks, very nice. Me to me yeah, technically not a gift then but treating myself. Fun time coming next weekend several friends are going with me to the range , just gonna set up a steel gong and pure shooting pleasure without trying to group or score the best like I usually am busy with.

Congrats on the birthday and birthday present!

Nice thing about buying your own gift is that you're getting exactly what you want!
