I’ve been shopping for a used inexpensive 9mm “range” pistol. I found a Smith & Wesson Model 39-2 at my LGS. The gun store owner and I were not familiar with this model at all. It is in fine condition and appears to have not been fired often. It came with two mags. One mag looks new and the other looks used. I did some research and this model sure does have an interesting history. My dilemma is do I use this as a range gun and shoot the hell out of it or is it worth preserving as a collectible? Thoughts?
