I went yesterday to see what was available, surprisingly most everything that normally is there was, except .357 and .44 Mag. I had gone to get some .357 if they had it, but they didn't, however most of what my local Walmart had for .357 was 110 grain stuff that flame cuts the top straps, so not a big loss.
I did need .380, so I got 400 rds of that, and while I didn't need any 9mm, I knew it was going to disappear so I got 800 rds of that. .45 ACP, not a great price, but I don't shoot it much and got 200 rds.
I didn't bother with .40, I have plenty of that and nobody shoots it around me so it will be there next week or the week after.
What I was interested in seeing was how low the prices for unpopular calibers like .25 and .32 would be and .25 at $11 a box is not bad, cheapest I've ever seen .25 for, but .32 was the same as what I could get online. I don't expect any of these calibers to sell, so I'm gonna see if the prices drop any further. If they don't, I'm gonna go in at some point before year's end and haggle with a manager and tell him I'll buy ALL their remaining .25 and .32 for $5 a box instead of them giving it away for nothing.
The sad thing about my location is that none of the Walmart's sell hollow point ammo, so I won't be getting the opportunity to stock up on that stuff.
