I went to walmart today and have some bad news. Several ammo prices have gone up. Federal 9mm and .45 has gone up. Winchester .22 is up on the 333 box. Remington .223 has gone up on the 20 round UMC box.
The good news is the russian ammo is still the same price. The 550 round boxes of .22 are still the same. Federal .223 100 round boxes are still the same.
These are just the ones I noticed today in one store. Are the walmart ammo prices going up in your neighborhood?

The only factory ammo I buy is 22 and .17 HMR but I do take note of the price on 9mm, etc, at Wal Mart.
No I haven't noticed a price increase at all and there seems to be plenty.

Walkalong, All the 550 boxes of .22 have been $19 for a long time around here.
I am really surprised by the ammo prices today. I thought prices might go up a little, but they have gone up more than expected. One i forgot to mention was the federal match .22 boxes of 325 went up a dollar.

The WWB ammo all went up at the Walmarts here and when I was in there a few days ago the Federal Champion ammo was still the same. I'm wondering if it's gone up now or not.

same here. the ammo at wallyworld has gone up a few bucks for everything i typically buy including .45 , 9x19 and 22.

I noticed Friday night that the WWB 100 round .380 went up from $31.50 to $33.50. Federal bulk 550 still 15.47. Federal Auto match still $14 something.
I like that Auto Match. Maybe I'll buy a few boxes before it goes up.

Seems the same, went today 100 pack of Federal .223 $39.95 and 115 gr Fed 9mm, $10.45 I think.

Yes. In Charlotte, NC prices have gone up about 2 bucks on everything. I noticed this when I purchased my regular 45 acp Winchester white box 100rds. Was not very surprised, they know they still have the best prices. Monopoly.......

Smitty try going to SGammo.com. You can usually find a way to get as much ammo or more for Wal Mart prices.

I recently picked up 200 rounds of 147gr FMJ and 50 rounds of Winchester Ranger Bonded 147gr for my 9mm. I paid about $86 or $87 for the whole order. 200 rounds of WWB would have cost me $60 at my nearest Wal Mart. Then the price of 40 rounds of PDX would have been $40. With tax I would have been looking at $107 or $108.

I saved $20 bucks by shopping SG Ammo. Plus, I got the ammo I wanted instead of just grabbing what Wal Mart happens to have in stock.

Yeah the prices at my local wally's went up, too. Not too much, price increases seemed to range from $0.70-1.50 a box.

I forgot to mention that sporting clays are now about $10 for a 90 count box. They were around $7.50 a couple of weeks ago.

in western nc 9mm federal went up from 10.50 to 11.90 even tula went up a little over a dollar.bulk 22 was the only thing that didnt change.

Yep, it went up here too, I just went into Walmart today. Federal 9mm is now $12 and Federal .40 S&W is now $17. I'm not sure how much the Remington UMC 223 ammo is as I didn't see it, but it was already $10 a box which is extremely high as other places sell it for around $7 quite often.

These prices are getting a little ridiculous.. When everyone was complaining when ammo went up 2 years ago, I wasn't complaining and figured ammo would go up when a major shortage was happening, an then the shortage ended, and ammo went up again on average around $.50 a box, and once again I wasn't one of the ones complaining, but now that it's gone up this much, this prices are getting a little out of hand. IMO it should be going down now that the shortage is over, not up by huge amounts.

I've reached the point where I don't shoot a ton of handgun ammo anymore as I just don't want to pay for it. Has anyone else reached that point? I figure if enough people stop buying a bunch of it, it will have to come back down in price.

What's the point for you guys where you will considerably cut back what you shoot?

Here in Central Fl the wife paid $1.50 more for wwb 9mm and they had no wwb .45 acp as usual.
I have been shooting the .22lr a lot- 1200 in the last 3 weeks. $65 or so/1000 CCI sv.
