Having been born in NJ and having bought my first handgun in NJ, I can feel for ya! (Although I bought my Python 45 years ago, I can't imagine it got any easier or smoother.) I moved to Fla in 1975 and bought my second handgun by filling out the 4473 and handing over the purchase price. And, you know, there weren't bodies all over from shooting victims, there were no school lockdowns, not one single gunfight on Main Street at high noon.Hello all! Glad to join this forum. Since I'm stuck here in the People's Republic of New Jersey, I need all of the help I can get! I recently got back into shooting after quite a few years without enough time for another hobby. Finally back in and I'm glad that I did.
Let's see, the guns are the same, essentially, other than a lot more plastic today. AR-15's were available to the public in the same configuration as now, Smith had the model 59 out with a "more than 10 round magazine and yet no carnage. What's changed. Why isn't someone looking into that aspect?
Oh, doesn't make headlines. Got it.
